Christmas 2018

Pupils  will than take part in a  Concert on Thursday 20th December at 1.30 pm for the residents of  Thomond Lodge, Ballymahon.

Pupils will perform their Nativity and Carol Service in the School on 20th December at 7pm,  everyone is very welcome to attend, refreshments will be served after in the Junior Room.

Forgney N.S. went to Causey Christmas Farm on Wednesday 19th December 2018, it was a very enjoyable outing!

Confirmation 2019

Confirmation for our 6th Class pupils will be held in the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer, Ballymore on Thursday 7th February 2019 at 11 .am.

We would like to congratulate our 6th Class pupils Jack, Jacques, Óisin, Cathal and Emma, on receiving the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation.  Forgney National School would like to wish them all the best of good luck for the future ahead.

Center Parcs Project 2017/2018

Pupils from Forgney National School will be involved in a project with Roadbridge, the main contractor for the construction phase of Center Parcs Newcastle Forest Development.

The Environmental Manager for Roadbridge Ltd, has proposed working on a programme with our school on environmental and biodiversity themed projects throughout the school year.

Nativity Play 2017

Forgney National School pupils will present their Christmas Nativity Play and Carol Service on Tuesday 19th December at 1 pm in the school.  Everyone is very welcome to this very special event.

6th Class 2017

We would like to wish our 6th class Leah S, Kyle, Leah O, and Abbie the very best of luck as they leave us to go to secondary school.  They have been great role models in the school and they will be greatly missed!  We hope they enjoyed their time at Forgney National School.

Forgney School Summer Tour 2017

Forgney school tour is scheduled for Monday 26th June.  The children will visit Galway, take a trip on the Corrib Princess they will visit the Galway aquarium and the beach. On the way home they will visit Truroe pet farm.

Famine Walk 29th May 2017

 

  1. Forgney National School pupils met with the famine walkers on day 3 of their 6 day walk from Strokestown to Dublin.  They re-enacted the walk made by the “missing 1490” who fled Strokestown during the famine.  In 1857, these men, women were among 5,000 who emigrated to Canada. The Children enjoyed meeting and listening to the historians
