Award to Past Pupil 2022

Forgney National School would like to extend congratulations to past pupil Harvey Townsend who was awarded Ballymahon Vocational School, Leaving Certificate, Student of the Year 2022. Oliver Goldsmith Poetry Competition 2022

Congratulations to 5th Class pupil Rian Halse who won the Gold medal in the Oliver Goldsmith Poetry Competition. Rian’s poem was called ‘The Fisherman’ it was the overall winner in a competition where there were 14 schools taking part. Rian read his poem at the special prize giving ceremony, Forgney National School would like to commend him on his wonderful poem and are very proud of his achievement.

Congratulations to 3rd Class pupil Hadrian Alves, whose poem was highly commended at the Oliver Goldsmith Poetry Competition, Forgney National is very proud of his achievement, well done Hadrian.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2022

It was great to see the Ballymahon St. Patrick’s Day Parade this year. Well done to everyone that took part and to everyone who helped to organise a lovely display of creativity. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you to you all.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2022

Forgney National School – Parents’ Association are organising and preparing pupils to participate in this years St. Patrick’s Day Parade to take place in Ballymahon.

The Theme of the parade this year is ‘BACK AGAIN’. We would like to wish all involved with this project the very best of luck and we look forward to Forgney pupils participating in the St. Patrick’s day Parade of 2022.

Confirmation 2022

Confirmation will take place in the Church of the Most Holy redeemer, Ballymore, on Friday 4th March at 3.pm. We would like to wish the Forgney Confirmandi, Séan and Russell the very best of luck as they receive this special Sacrament.

Computer Classes 2021

Computer Classes are being held in Forgney National School for all pupils. Children receive instruction through the National Schools Programme delivered by The Community Application of Information Technology (C.A.I.T) I.T learning centre. These classes will commence on 5th November for 7 weeks.
